The Sound I Hear When I Forget to Think

Your voice. That’s something I forgot to mention.

Smooth and powerful. The purr of a panther, anticipation’s chime. You speak and I hear something calling me; heaven, darkness, I don’t care which. One word, and I lose track of myself.

I forget this awful place we’ve found ourselves in.
